AQSG Seminar: Feed Sacks from the Depression Era with Sandy Schweitzer

I took two study centers and led one at the AQSG Seminar in Lincoln, Nebraska. The first study center I took was World War II Quilts with Sue Reich, and the second was Feed Sacks from the Depression Era with Sandy Schweitzer. Sandy brought some amazing samples and I learned a a lot about how to qualify degrees of certainty when assessing a piece of fabric that could be feed sack. It was fascinating, and kudos to Sandy for a job well done!

  1. woohoo! That will work in well with your collecting of 50s quilts, many have FSs in them. I hope you will start collecting them too, it's a fun area and then we can look forward to your posts on FB Feedsack Friends
