Northwest Quilters Show

The Northwest Quilters 40th annual show is now on display at the Portland Metropolitan Expo Center, through tomorrow, Saturday May 3rd. I was able to get over today, and enjoyed another great show, with nearly 200 quilts and wall-to-wall vendors, plus hand quilting demo, bed turnings from Latimer Quilt & Textile Center, silent auction, Quilts of Valor, Comforting Quilts, and the full range of activities.

I did not have a quilt in the show this year, but hopefully next year. As soon as I got in the door, there were friends everywhere. Show director Jackie Nance wanted me to come take a picture of the youngest quilt show attendee, a little baby who woke up from her nap just in time to have her picture taken. I guess you're never too young to go to your first quilt show. As usual, there were many beautiful quilts. Here are just a few of the great things I saw.
