Carol Weber Quilts in Manzanita

Yesterday, Mom and I went to Manzanita, on the Oregon coast, to see quilts by Carol Weber at the Manzanita Branch Library. Carol had mentioned it to us when we were at the reception for Helene Knott's exhibit on Sunday, and we decided to drive out and see it. Carol does wonderful work, and it was worth the trip. Here are some pictures of her beautiful quilts.

Carol and I know each other from the Latimer Quilt and Textile Center in Tillamook. She was president of the board while I was serving on the board. She is also a wonderful baker, and would bring the most delicious treats to board meetings and open house events. After we enjoyed Carol's quilts, we drove north toward Cannon Beach, and saw some jaw-dropping views of the beach at Manzanita. Inspiration in all directions!

We stopped at Mo's for a bowl of chowder, grabbed a bag of salt water taffy, and headed home just in time to recharge and have dinner at Andina. Another perfect day!

  1. Great little quilts...love the one with the houses and checkerboard! Sounds like your Mom is getting to see lots of quilts this trip!
