The SECOND Willow Tree Quilt Has Arrived!

The second Willow Tree Quilt has arrived, and in a lot of ways it's better than the first one. The design is more balanced, there's no fringe to repair, there is less staining, and there are very few areas of damage to address.

After seeing the two quilts together, there's no doubt in my mind they were made by the same hands.

Here's the first one. It's a bit more yellow than the picture indicates, and there are losses to the fringe, the upper edge, and in one or two of the stuffed elements. Some more pictures of the second one...

And the bonus- an inscription!!

  1. another treasure!....and there has got to be a story in there that connects the 2, they sure look like the same hand...but the different initials make me thing the same person made them but presented them to different people.

I still think it would be a great one to reproduce some day when I have time

    1. It will be a future Best of Show in Paducah if you do it as nicely as you did your tree of life.

  2. Wow! You lucky guy, two wonderful pieces of art indeed.

Are you bringing them to the AQSG Seminar in Charleston?

    1. These quilts would be the perfect things to bring if I was going, but I'm not going to make it this year.
