Speechless Saturday - "H" is for History

  1. That is really annoying! It doesn't even look like it was in that bad of shape.

  2. Who would do such a thing?

  3. I bought these seven pieces one by one from eBay a few years ago, but never found the other two pieces. In my opinion, the condition wasn't bad enough to justify cutting it up.

  4. What do you think is the age of the quilt, Bill? Someone looking for a fun and challenging project could recreate the missing pieces . . .

    1. I think it's probably 30s and 40s fabrics, and would love to see it be a fun, challenging project for you!

  5. That's a challenge to put back together! I have a bunch(16-20) of Sunbonnet Sue blocks that I got from a guild freebie pile. They were originally in a quilt quilted but cut up into blocks later for some reason. I'm trying to think up a way to put the quilted blocks back together to make it a quilt again. The original quilter did a beautiful job of embroidery and appliqueing that it would be a shame if it didn't come back to life again! Good luck on your challenge; it looks beautiful and deserves to be put back together somehow.
