Goodwill score

The other day I was at Goodwill and it seemed like there wasn't anything interesting to be found. I was ready to leave when I strolled by the bedspreads, and there was this cute little stamped, cross-stitch quilt. It was a bargain, so I bought it.

It's one of those stamped, pre-quilted cross-stitch quilts, similar to the Wizard of Oz quilt I found recently.

This type of quilt was made to be a cross-stitch project more than a quilting project, but the cross-stitch does show on the back of both quilts. The one I found in Goodwill has a cherubic baby sleeping on a crescent moon.

One interesting detail is a section of the quilt without cross-stitching, where you can see the printed design. I wonder if the future owner will finish it.

This quilt will soon be on sale at Antique Alley, Booth C-1. Antique Alley is located in the lower level of the 42nd Street Station, 2000 NE 42nd Avenue in the Hollywood District of Portland. Hours are 10am-6pm Monday through Friday, 10am-5pm Saturday and 12-5pm Sunday. For more information, click here.
