Modern Quilts: Designs of the New Century

One of my 1970s quilts will appear in the new book, Modern Quilts: Designs of the New Century by Riane Menardi, Alissa Haight Carlton, and Heather Grant. The book is scheduled for release toward the end of this year. A list of artists and contributors appears with the book information, and it is an exciting roster with many friends and also a few fellow members of Portland Modern Quilt Guild.

I'm impressed, and honored to be part of such an incredible group of quiltmakers. The book is 208 pages, but I'm sure it easily could've been double the size with all the talent out there. I am happy the book includes one of my vintage quilts. It is a window into a world of historic context worth exploring. Kudos to Riane Menardi, Alissa Haight Carlton, Heather Grant, The Modern Quilt Guild, and all the artists and contributors whose work is represented in the book. Can't wait to see it!
