Yesterday was our last full day at the Oregon Coast, and we went to see the infamous Japanese tsunami dock at Agate Beach, the Newport Historic Bayfront, and then drove south of Newport. Many sights to see. Words can't do it justice, so here are some more pictures.

As if the scenery wasn't enough, I think the Oregon Coast was probably one of the coolest places in the United States, in terms of air temperature, during the last week. It's been in the low to mid 70s. There was some rain at the beginning of the week, but as you can see, it cleared up. The Oregon Coast is probably one of the best kept secrets in summer travel destinations. Water is too cold for swimming, but who cares? It's just gorgeous!!
If your a native, it's not too cold. :)

ReplyDeleteOh yes, had dinner there on Monday with friends. It was lovely. Also went to Saffron Salmon, and had lunch at Mo's one day.

ReplyDeleteOh yes, the Oregon Coast is absolutely sublime. Any time of the year is great, but summer is especially beautiful Just don't expect to go swimming. :)
